INTRODUCTION
Earthquake resistance building materials are the protection or support and defender of the building against the collapsing during earthquake occurrences which making the building more stable. In the other words, we can say that there are desirable materials to construct the earthquake resistance buildings in the seismic areas in order to sustain the vibration and movement of the building against from collapsing due to the earthquake. An earthquake is a ground movement or vibration of earth’s surface due to the sudden release of energy in the earth’s crust that creates seismic waves and causes the movement of the ground. Destruction of the building may occur if those buildings not fulfill the requirement of using the earthquake resistance building materials. The failure or collapse of the building may causes casualty of the person. Such as the occurrence of earthquake in sichuan province of china May 12, 2008, almost 80% of the buildings were collapsed due to not provisions or techniques in the construction of the buildings. Besides that, the buildings do not providing the earthquake resistance structure or building materials. Therefore, a million of people were dead in the country

This video is the summarize on how earthquake happen. |
As a result, the building
materials such as concrete, brick, and block and stone can been chose, so that
can perform the better earthquake resistance in their own capabilities at the
seismic areas. An earthquake resistance building materials of the building
construction should have a strong and proper structure of concrete, brick, and
block and stone to withstand the vibration of the building. A brief description
of each type of the buildings material used in the earthquake resistance
building will be discuss in more detail and informative as you continue reading
the blog. A suitable building structure can withstand the building from
collapsing such as damping structure or seismic isolation structure, however,
using proper building materials also useful in protection of the building from
collapsing when occurrence of earthquake.
